About Workshops

What to Bring

Depending on the workshop you are attending, you will be required to bring different items and photography equipment. Below is a list of the most important items to bring along to ALL workshops, unless otherwise stated.

  • Your camera – all workshops assume you will bring along an at least SLR camera with which you are at least somewhat familiar (its OK if you have questions about how it works, but you should have at least already tried the camera!) We provide instruction on the spot. In the unlikely event we are unsure, we will research and contact you after the workshop with the best solution we can find.
  • Food and Water.
  • Pen and paper
  • A smile.

Feel free to come along early to meet and greet fellow students. Instructors will be on hand half an hour before the workshop is due to start.

Models

Where appropriate, we provide models. Sometimes those models work for a Time for CD/Prints arrangement, and in those instances we will inform you in advance if your images are required for the models.  Our models appreciate seeing your work. We will provide contact details of our models on the day. Contact can be made at a later date and images shared.

Cost and Payment.

The cost of our workshops is very competitive. Payment for all workshops is due at the time of booking. In the event of poor weather a future booking will be made or a refund issued.

Food

Unless stated, food and drinks are not provided. Some locations have shops near by. You will be advised of this in your workshop handout.

Weather

If the weather is bad on the day, stay close to your phone and check your email, we will send a cancellation notice with ample notice.

Safety

Your safety is important to us. Some of our workshops are hosted in areas near water and other dangerous elements. We require you to sign our “Workshop Liability Agreement” before we start the workshop.

Testimonial

I and Invictus (Matt Duncan) attended the workshop Kane and David held at Kangaroo Point Cliffs in November last year, and found it very informative.
